MICAH is a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to transforming lives through affordable housing. Operated entirely by volunteers with no paid staff, MICAH develops and provides housing for vulnerable individuals and families living on low and fixed incomes. MICAH partners with community agencies that support women, children, and individuals with physical or cognitive challenges, providing them with safe, affordable space to deliver critical social programs. MICAH also houses individuals and families from the York Region Affordable Housing wait list. By building and maintaining housing that community partners could not otherwise afford, MICAH helps ensure long-term stability and dignity for those most in need. MICAH is currently seeking a financial partner to support the inclusion of green building features in its new development, helping to keep rents affordable for the most vulnerable residents.
