L'Arche Comox Valley (LCV) is a nonprofit organization that seeks to build inclusive community for adults with developmental disabilities. The provision of housing, independent living supports, recreational and arts programming, and community gathering are means to this end. LCV has been active from in Courtenay, on Vancouver Island, since 1992. LCV has one group home (Jubilee House) where four adults with developmental disabilities live with four live-in assistants. LCV also has six suites (IBC Suites) for those who can live independently with some supports, as well as supporting individuals who live independently in the community. Additionally, LCV has a community hub, the I Belong Centre, where they offer recreational and arts programming, and gather for community events. LCV seeks to build community that includes people with and without disabilities, celebrating the dignity and gifts of all. LCV is a member of L’Arche Canada and L’Arche International.
