HOTT is a community-driven charity in Toronto focused on creating and maintaining safe, high-quality, affordable rental housing for individuals and families facing barriers such as homelessness, trauma, addictions, or mental and physical health challenges. Since 1987, HOTT has grown to own and operate 15 properties with 209 units across the city, including apartment buildings, smaller complexes, and single-family homes. More than housing alone, HOTT offers a helping hand through holistic supports—counselling, skill development, advocacy, translation and literacy services, and community activities. By working closely with residents to stabilize housing, prevent evictions, and foster independence, HOTT helps people rebuild stability, health, and hope for the future.
