SPECIALITIES & SERVICE AREAS
Calgary
Indigenous
Elizabeth Fry is an Indigenous-led organization which operates within an Indigenous worldview to support Indigenous peoples who have been systemically criminalized. Through healed centered approaches, those accessing services engage upon an individualized healing journey to work through the underlying factors associated with their charges through restorative justice processes. We are working on housing partnerships with our local non-profit housing provider, a youth serving organization for young mothers with children, and another Indigenous organization who provides support to youth and families. We are in the process of engaging Correctional Services Canada to support women being transitioned from federal incarceration into community.
