Westwinds D’Arcy Affordable Housing Apartment will focus on underserved low and modest-income populations, including individuals with physical and developmental disabilities, seniors, and single adults—including young adults—who are among the fastest-growing and most marginalized groups in Okotoks. Westwinds Communities proposes a 40-unit 4-storey affordable apartment. This project features: • 40 one-bedroom apartments, including 8 barrier-free units and 6 walkout-level units with private patios, designed for optimal use of space and accessibility; • A community multipurpose room with a reheat kitchen, an office for support staff, and a dedicated scooter storage for seniors or others with mobility issues; • Amenities for tenants include on-floor laundry, storage with 20 lockers, and an elevator to address accessibility and universal design requirements.
