These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Front Door platform (the “Service”), operated by Partners for Affordable Housing (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a registered non-profit organization in Canada.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Description of the Service
Front Door is an online platform that enables Canadian affordable housing providers to list and describe projects for the purpose of attracting funding, support, and collaboration. Access to the platform may be limited to approved funders, ecosystem partners, and registered users.
2. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
Be at least 18 years old.
Have the authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of your organization (if applicable).
Register for an account and provide accurate, complete information.
We reserve the right to approve or deny access at our sole discretion.
3. Account Registration and Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
All activities that occur under your account.
Ensuring your submitted project data is accurate and not misleading.
You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Data Privacy and Confidentiality
Projects listed on FrontDoor are not publicly indexed and are only accessible by authenticated users who have been granted access (e.g., funders, government agencies, ecosystem partners, and approved platform vendors).
Submitted data may be used internally for analysis, reporting, and matching funders to projects.
We do not sell your data to third parties.
All data is handled in accordance with Canadian privacy laws, including PIPEDA.

5. Use of the Platform
You agree not to:
Submit false or misleading information.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
Use the Service in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
We may remove content or suspend access for any user who violates these Terms.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the platform, including software, branding, and layouts, is the property of Partners for Affordable Housing or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a non-exclusive license to use, display, and share it with funders and ecosystem partners for the purpose of facilitating affordable housing funding.
7. Service Modifications and Availability
We reserve the right to:
Modify or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice.
Limit access to the Service for maintenance or security purposes.
We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by such changes.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or funding outcomes related to projects listed on the platform.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to the use or inability to use the Service.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Partners for Affordable Housing and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
Your use of the Service.
Your violation of these Terms.
Your violation of any rights of a third party.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Alberta.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
