Soroptimist International of Vancouver is the local Vancouver chapter of an international non-profit organization and a global volunteer organization that “improves the lives of women and girls” by providing access to education and training to achieve economic empowerment. Soroptimist International of Vancouver serves women and girls across Vancouver with grants and programs geared at education, literacy to achieve economic empowerment and independence. In addition to these programs, the organization operated a 22 affordable housing building since the 1960s for senior women and saw a need to redevelop to expand the delivery of affordable homes from women at all stages of life. Soroptimist International of Vancouver is seeking support to complete this new development and support future residents with amenity and communal spaces that support intergenerational interaction and wellbeing.
