The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre was founded in 1965 to administer and implement programs to meet the needs of Indigenous people migrating to or living in cities while bridging the cultural gap between the Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre will provide leadership and opportunities, in collaboration with community partners, to improve the well-being of Indigenous peoples and the community through culturally-rooted approaches and values.
