Danakiiwiin on Court LP is an Indigenous-led partnership between Missanabie Cree Business LP (owned by the Missanabie Cree First Nation), White Lake Limited Partnership (Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg), and AsOne International Foundation (Summers & Co.), formed to address urgent housing needs in Thunder Bay where ~1,000 people are waitlisted for social housing and over 500 individuals experience homelessness, more than 65% of whom are Indigenous. Our mission is to deliver culturally grounded, affordable urban housing that advances reconciliation with Indigenous People & communities while supporting long-term economic sustainability for Indigenous Nations. As a community-owned development, this project functions as both a social & economic engine by generating revenue, building capacity, and enabling self-determination while ensuring communities are able to directly support the housing needs of their off-reserve members and remain in the driver’s seat of their prosperity for generations.
