Funding Required
$25,000 annual fund for October 2026. Unused balance to be carried over annually.
Funds Raised
$10,000,000 over 5 years Capital funds have been supplied by Cenovus for 30 RTM housing units (currently in final year of funding w/6 new units to be delivered in 2026); $4,500,000 from Gov't of Alberta for Infrastructure development(Water ,Sewer,) for subdivision (completed); Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo & Wood Buffalo Housing transferred 16 Lots for the housing development.; Trans Canada Energy has supplied $10,000 for 1 year of internet services for 15 of the units.
Use of funds
Funds will by applied for by the Tenant to help with tenant insurance costs, Security deposits, emergency rental arrears, This will assist tenants to acquire and get into affordable housing and prevent evictions for rental arrears that are due to extenuating circumstances.
