DESCRIPTION
This project will provide stable housing support for Indigenous members living off-reserve who are facing financial hardship due to the high cost of housing and limited availability of affordable rentals. Many individuals and families are struggling to maintain safe housing while also meeting their basic needs such as food, utilities, transportation, and childcare. The project aims to reduce barriers to housing stability and prevent homelessness by providing financial assistance and supportive services to vulnerable members. Supports may include assistance with rent, damage deposits, utility arrears, and connections to community and cultural resources. Through a culturally grounded and client-centered approach, the project will promote safety, stability, and overall well-being while helping Indigenous individuals and families maintain secure housing and improve long-term housing stability.
